Died, at the resideuce of one
of his sons near Beululi on the
24th inst., Mr. Edward Davis at
the advanced age of 87 years.
The deceased was truly a father
in Israel, and raised to true man
hood and womanhood a large
family (22 we aro told is the num
ber) to mourn liis loss. The re
mains were interred at Mt Oli
vet cemetary at 12 o'clock on
Wednesday.

All male persons living within the
corporate limits of oities or towns,
students attending any oollege or
cshool of the State, Ministers in charge
of regular congregations, teaohers em
ployed in publio schools, school trus
tees during their term of offloe, per
sons permanently disabled and those
actually engaged in the quarantine
service of the state are exempt from
the payment of road tax. All male
persons between the ages of 18 and SO
years are required t? pay said road tax
or work not less than six days during
the year.

lived in January last, and if known
by two names, givtf both, and be sure
