We witnessed the presenta

the Qpera House on Monday
night. It was played to a good
audiance which seemed to ap

us, while the several parts were
doubtless well sustained, the
parts of Dr. Ananias Boliver and
the widow O'Malley most par

ver is a caution.
The real feature of the eve

music on the piano rendered by
Mrs. W. M. Hinson. Her ren

? The work of the Legislature
to date is satisfactory to us, as
it may be, fortunately they have
done practically nothing. There
may be nomething doing this

may be presented in due course
of time.
? We want to ask as a special
favor that our patrons for job

It is a matter of pride to us to

to accomplish it, we must have

Postmaster of Camden, S. C.,
desires to call attention to the
practice of some patron* of rural
delivery of placing loose coins
in their bozee each time they de
sire to dispatch letters instead
of supplying themselves with
postage In advanoe of their
needs.
This practloe Imposes undue
hardship on rural ^.carriers in re
moving loose ooins from boxes
and delaya them on the service
of their routes.
The postmaster, therefore,
urgently requests thst patrons
of rural dellveiy provide them
selves and keep On hand a sup
ply of stamps consistent with
and In advance of their need*.
It is also very desirable that
rural patrons place in their mail
boxes small detachable cups of
wood or tin in which to place
ooins, when necessary, in pur
chasing supplies of stamps.

Companions In Misfortune.
While the stringency of the
money market is very much in
evidence, we want to call the at
tention of delinquent subscribers
aod others, to the fact that our
accounts against them, while
small in detail, reach a very con
siderable amount in the aggre
gate. It is absolutely neces
sary for us to raise a certain
amount each month, and our only
sourco of revenue is the collec
tion of umounts owing us for
subscription, advertisements and
job work. We feel assured that
the fact that at least a part of
this varied indebtedness has not
been paid us is simply because
of neglect. Corne on, friends.
You will not miss the money

you will experience that feeling
of satisfaction that always fol
lows the performance of duty.
