can hold his cotton without outside
aid. He has the money to do It. He
has plenty to eat and wear and can
pay his debts. He has forgotten how it
feels to be squeezed by a mortgage.
It is further significant that when he

r~' to hold his cotton and make the effect
felt upon the market tbe bankers and

him perfect and maintain his organization.

a large bank building was pointed out
to us. "In that one building," said
