Tins is a question we submit for the serious consideration df the young men of tbe town and community. Tlvere seems to be no question as to tho need of such an organization. We are itnated almost on the dividing line between Lexington and Saluda counties, and neither of these counties have a military company. Hatesburg is a central point and easily nccessable to almost any portion of tbe above named counties, as well as to a large portion of Aiken county. Aside from tlie* question of protection, which it would afford the community in time of disorder and danger,'tis desirable as asocial prganization and means of recreation. In the armory could be established a resting room nnd other social features, too numerous to mention here, could be added iu the wisdom of the ojganization. In this way the young men cou Id be b ought in closer touch with each other in consequence of which each would feel a greater interest in the success and advancement of the other. We commend this question to is the serious consideration ok our readers. What we have said has been said simply by way of a suggestion, in consequence of which we hope to see some definite plan formulated for the organization of a much military c.mpany.
