Being aware of the fai t that Mr.

the people know something about liiin. ^
Albert Merritt is 39 years old. lie

for thirty years, lie is the son of the "
late Mr. '.Vjlliam A. Merritt, who for
twenty odd years was one of the leading
merchants of our town. His lather
was also the sen'or member of the
firm of Merritt A Plonkett at Hatesburg.
(
Albert is sober, industrious ntd | r.*etical,
antl during a fourteen year service
as agent and operator on tiie
Southern Railway lie was never too
tired or busy to answer all questions
politely and never forgot tbat the railroad
owed the people more than the
people owed it, and always extended J
lhe people every favor eansis'ent with
good business
He lias a natural mechanical turn,
having run various kinds of mtchinery

Mr. Merritt can secure all of the c
convicts necessary for the public wi rU? V"

In my humble judgment Albe't Mer!
