sum of money to tin already wealthy
institution, but it is seldom, very seldom,
that we read or hear of any of
these wealthy individuals e< ntributing
to the support of those ins'itutions

As an exception, Mr. Carnegie
seems to be departing from this apparently,
well established rule hy giving
to cities in different parts of the
