Soldiers in A. E. F. arise.
Guard you with their armours j
bright
Mighty are our enemies.
Hard the battle we must fight
Over barbed wire entanglements
Raise our banner in the sky
Lift it float there ^ wide unfurled
Bear it onward and lift it high.
Mid the homes of want and woe
We cannot speak nor hear a word, i
Onward soldiers is all we know
Bet the voice of hope be heard
Where the shadows deepest lie.
True soldiers win the day
We. must not stop to thing of danger
There the saving sign display ,
To the weary and the worn
Tell the boys where sorrow cease. I
When the victory is won
Speak of sorrow and of peace

Happy home to which we lo-ve the :

Love our comrade in the gain of

Tis faithful hopes till the future

Until home we reach that happy
place.
Through another heavy barrage.
Shells that sing the sadest song.
Nearly forget mother and father
But it does not last-so long
We glad to speak of a just cause
While in Europe we take a stand
We will face a wild nation
And fight them like a man.'
In one case we counted cruel
Bu we only watch what face us
here
Think back over the loving past.
And think a lot of mothers care.
Thoughts are seldom taken.
For we havent the present time.
The case were well thought of before
Now we must (destroy the huns

In this case it takes brain to win
Other wars it was counted the man
Let us win the European war
But we do not want the land.

STOI *DEMIRE-CHE A SON.
Chapin, Nov. 30?The wedding" of "_A
Miss Tommie Stoudemire and Clandil
us N. Creason which was solemized at -M
Mt. Horeb Lutheran church Thurs- * "*]
day at 3:30 o'cock was a very beautiful
event and one in which a great
deal of cordial interest centers
throughout the state.
The church was tastefully decorated
with potted plants and white car
nations.
Preceding and during the ceremony
a beautiful program of music was
given with Mrs. R. W. Frick at the
organ. Two vocal numbers, "The
Sunshine of Your Smile and "I Love *
You Truly" by Miss Stella Wessinger
were very pleasing. The bridal par- !
ty approached the altar to the strains
of the Lohengrin wedding march.
During the ceremony Mrs. Frick play
ed "Flower Song' and for the recessional
the Mendelsshon wedding
march.
The ushers, Wendell Stoudemire
and Robert Hiller, entered vrst and
took their places on each side of the
altar. Then came Miss Antoinette
Williams with Melton Leaphart, and
Miss Lucille Creason with Miller Williams,
who came down the central
aisle and took their places in front of
the ushers. S^iss Lottie Stoudemire,
bride's sister, entered next as maid of
honor, followed by little Margaret Eleazer
bearing the wedding ring in
the chalice of a lilly. The bridegroom
with his best man, Ramond A. Bouk.
night, approached the altar from the
right and there met the bride who entered
on the arm of her father. The
ceremony was performed by the Rev
J. L. Cromer.
The bride was handsomely attired
in a tailored suit of midnight blue,
with each detail of her costume in
perfect harmony. She carried a show
er bouquet of bride roses.
The maid of honor, Miss . Lottie
Stoudmire, wore a loVely costume of
tahpe velvet with hat to match.
Mr. and Mrs. Creason. left immediately
after the ceremony for an extended.
