Her husband is a state eonstable and as duty calls him from home a great part of his time she left her home alt College Place, Colum bia and lived with her mother near Lexington. After suffering for some time she was taken to a Columbia h6s pital for treatment, hut the doctors found that an operation was necessary to which s),r was unable to succomb. The last da: f her life was a period of intense - 'fering. All was done for her that ould be expected of human hands, but her time hud come to go and the end pcacefullly come and her soul returned to God who gave it. Before she expired she sang beautifully the hymns, "Asleep in Jesus." "Till wc meet at Jesus' Feet" "Abide With Me:" and several others as she became weaker. As her nurse and sister stood by her bod side: she assured them, that she was prepared and ready to go. Tho it is "with sorrow we remember her suffering and the slowly ebbing away of her precious life on this earth, we have the confidence that she is new "Safe in. The Arms of Jesus."
