be called to rheet Saturday, April 27
by R. Beverly Sloan. The county
chairman. Each club will be entitled
to one delegate to the county convention
for every 25 members on the
club roll or a majority fraction there
ct. The officers of the various clubs
will issue formal notices calling on
the clubs to gather at the usual places
to select their officers, executive
committeemen and delegates to the
ooiintv convention.
A number cf Richland counrv officers
are to be elected this yen and
the contests will be interesting. The
county treasurer, supervisor, judge of
probate, auditor, master and coroner
ore among the many offices to be
filled.
It is thought that the several coun
ty officials will seel: reelection, and
no doubt others will enter the race.
Good salaries are attached to the various
county offices.
The county executive committee
will have to elect a secretary to succeed
Waller Bailey, who has become
a lieutenant in the army. Beverly
Sloan has beer, the efficient county
chairman for several terms, and his
friends will insist on him allowing
his name to be used for reelection.
