COLE L. BLEA5E ACCEPTS
INVITATION OF WM. H. TAFT
i
Columbia, April 6.?Former Governor

the league to be held in Philadelphia

Alton B. Parker, Democratic presi-!

dent of the organization.
Following is the letter from Mr.
Taft:
' "My dear Governor Blease: A spe:

CxttarrKal Deafness Cannot Be Cured
by local applications, as they cannot.
reach the diseased portion of the ear.!
There is only one way to cure catarrhal
deafness, and that is by a constitutional
remedy. Catarrhal Deaf
ness is caused by an inflamed condition
of the mucuos lining of the Eustachian
Tube. When this tube is
inflamed you have a rumbling sound
or imperfect hearing, and when it
is entirely closed, Deafness is the result.
Unless the inflammation can
be reduced and this tube restored to
its normal condition, hearing will be
destroyed forever. Many cases of
deafness are caused by catarrh;
which is an inflamed condition of the
mucous surfaces. Hall's Catarrh Med
icine acts thru the blood on the mucous
surfaces of the system.
We will give One Hundred Dollars
for ay case of Catarrhal Deafness
that cannot be cured by Hall's
Catarrh Medicine. Circulars free.

COUNTY GAME WARDEN
MAKES GOOD SHOWING
At the close of the hunting season
on March L5th last, county Game
Warden Joe M. Caughman had collected
for the season and turned over
to the Chjief Game Warden of the
State the sum of $1,437.00, in license
fees and fines. One-half of
the amount has been returned to the
school fund of Lexington County by
the State Treasurer.
It is undrstood that the report of
County Game Warden Caughman is
I the only game warden's report in the
State that did not have to be corrected
or alterated, it having tallied to
the cent, which is a most creditable
showing.
Mr. Caughman will be glad to
give any information desired on the
new fishing law, which was passed
at the last session of the General Assembly.
NOTICE.
At the Sunday night service at the
Lexington, Baptist church April 14.
1918, the pastor will preach a war
sermon. A large congregation is ex
pected. F. H. Fuderburk.
