would increase the subscription price
of the Lexington Dispatch-News from
$1 .00 to $1.50 per year, we have had
quite a large number of our subscribers
to come in and pay for a year
;n advance . This offer is still open
and will rerqain open until the first
day of January. . We will continue
to take renewals and new subscriptions
at the old price of $1.00 until
January 1st, but after that time the
rate will postively be $1.50 per year.

The funeral of the late Mrs. $*iizabeth
E. Hawes, who died at tier
home in New Brokland Monday was
held this morning with interment m
Fhnwood cemetery at 9 o'clock. Mrs.
Hawes was 69 years' of age and was
loved and respected by all that knew
her. She is survived by four child,
yen two sons, and two daughter#
#W W. Hawes a prominent attorney
of Columbia is her oldest son.

state. There is no salt in Columbia
One dealer has. 700 sacks on the way
and orders are booked for 900. Some
