NEWS NOTES FROM SPRING HILL|
Irmo, R. F. D., July 23.?For a
week we have had fine rains and crops
have improved so. much that the pros-i
pects now are in favor of a fine yield
of corn. Cotton also is doing well. '
A considerable acreage of stubble
land has been sown in peas, which are
looking well. We have had rain ev-!
ery day since last Tuesday and farm-(
ers would be glad for a hold up of sev- j
eral days.
Miss Edna Haltiwanger of Sally, is,
spending two weeks with her grandfather,
J. E. Haltiwanger, and other
relatives at Spring Hill.
A considerable number of our people
are working at the cantonment
every day in autos.
