The host pastor is the Rev. J.
M. Toomer, a friend of ours. It
seems as if it were _ yesterday - that
Rev. Toomer ("Toom K> his
friends) and I were beating the
oushes down in Orangeburg
County. 1 was serving the Granger
Baptist Church at Elloree,
and he was serving a church in
the upper part of Orangeburg
County. It was at that church I
conducted my second Revival j
meeting. At that time I was the
circulating manager of the Peoples
Informer before it was mer- |
ged with the Lighthjm^w? .We
have remained friends through ?~
the years. '
- The Rev. Mr. Toomer's father
was the first-person that carried
me to Morris College as a student!
think I still owe him for
that trip.
I know many persons from
Anderson and I am looking forward
to seeing you at Board
Meeting _ in the "electric city"
otr May 4th Hope you are ready
for the convention "Let us
