We, the members of the South Carolina Congress of Colored Parents and Teacherp, assembled in ftnnual session in the Township Auditorium, March 27, 1952, declare the following to he the sentiment of our meting: Education and the Sales Tax. Pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars, as we do daily, into the Stalk Treasury under the Sales Law, we urge our membership to throw its full strength-into strategy aimed to -v have that law carried out to the letter in equalizing all facilities in tvery county in. South Carolina, this being the expressed aim and objective of the State Legislature and the officials of the State Board of Education. We urge all PTA's to make inventories of their respective educational facilities on county arid local levels and that their findings be presented to the educa. tional offcials of such sections wit hdirect requests for action ,on their part to remedy such situations'" at once.
