Congratulations?Jack And Jill Club
Mrs. Anna May Dickson, who for so many years worked
so hard to make the annual March of Dimes program a success
here?as she has with so many other community projects,
tells us that the Jack and Jill Club, made up of some of
the community's finest young matrons, is taking over the
drive this year as their biggest project with the "Mother's
-March" the night of January 31. We wish to give them a
great big hand for holding up Columbia. Somebody ought
to do it and should have done it long ago. The least the rest
of us women and mothers can do is to be sure we leave our
lights on that night .and get everybody else to do the same,
and hand over a nice little sum from our budgets to keep Columbia
on the map. Thanks a lot girls. I really mean it!

WoiTf"Y&u Girls Help Me I)o This?
This is hiy first summary, hastily put together to make
the deadline. It's something brand new to me although it is
real fascinating. I've promised the "boss" to try to keep up
with what is happening in the social world, but yon see I'm
a working girl?teaching?and you know how you feel after
a day of it, and how little time you have. I wonder if we
couldn't 'do it together? All you?have to Tto Is call me (phone
number is 2-6873?after 4 p.m.) or the newspaper
(2-7079) so we'll know about your party, meetings, clubs,
guests, new arrivals, etc. It'll help both of us. It's easy, too.
