Sec. 4. If more than ten thousand shares shall n
be subscribed, tlio Commissioners shall di>tributetheten

stock of tho said Company is to consist,
among the subscriliers as nearly as may be in i f
proportion to the numl?cr of shares subscribed
oy them respectively; Provided ulicitjs, that no
subscription for not more than five shares shall
bo reduced unless the whole number of shares
subscribed cannot be otherwise reduced to ton *
thousand. Provided, if any number less than
lea thousand, and exceeding five thousand
shares, be us bscribcd, the charter thereby shall
not bo forfeited, but tliC Company may bo form (
ed consisting of the number of shares actually
subscribed, which shall not thereafter be increased.

Sec. 5. In case the number of shares subscribed
on the three d ivs heroin before appointed for
recoiving subscriptions shall bo ess than ten i
thousand; the Commissioners shall re :eive further
subscriptions not exceeding such number of [
shares as with those already subscribed, shall

ten days, and subscribers shall not then be sub.

the oath herein before prescribed. *
In order to avoid the great consumption of time
which would be caused by counting the money
as paid in, the Commissioners will receive the /
amount paid on each subscription sealed up in a
separate parcel endorsed with the subscriber's
name, the sum contained in the package and the j
description of notes of which it consists : and i J
if tny package upon being opened and counted '
nail be found to contain less than the amount j
endorsed, or any other than notes of specie pay. . j
