THE public are informed that 75 miles ofthis | Road is completed and ready for the trans- ' purtation of Passengers and Produce. A train of I Oars leaves Portsmouth DAILY at half past 7 , o'clock A. M. (should the Baltimore and Wash- j ington steam-boats not arrive in time the cars i will be delayed until 9 o'clock) and arrive at Gary's Depot, the present termination of the road to dinner. Thence Passengers will be conveyed in Four Horse Coaches to Halllfax, N. C. At Ilallifax there are regular lines of Stagesto Tarborough Fayctteville, and Raleigh. Passengers for Edcnton, Plymouth &c. will be taken , from the Cars at Blackwater bridge by the steam j boat Fox. Returning?the Coiches will leave Ilallifax at ! "I o'clock A. M., arrive at Gary's Depot at 8 i o'clock, and arrive at Portsmouth the same day j in time for the Washington and Baltimore Steam j Boats. The advantages of this road are economy , and despatch. The fare from Portsmouth to ! Halifax being only Five Dollars, and the whole j distance (84 miles) travelled by daylight. Passengers will find this the CHEAPEST as 1 well as the most PLEASANT, DIREC' , and EXPEDITIOUS ROUTE. Leaving ilallifax I in the morning they arrive at Washington or I Baltimore the ensuing morning, or dine in Phila- i delphia. Or leaving Philadelphia in the morning they arrive at Ilallifax or Edenton the ensuing evening, without being deprived of the regular hours of sleep.
