does not appear that any settlement whatev

ing to the best information they have, that
the college owes 94,710 ddters, 3d cents:
and has available fonda, amnnnting to 35,460

of 59,256 dollars 38 cents. Besides this,
there are obligations to the United Mates
government, amounting to 31,837 dollars,
83 cents j but hnpes,are entertained that the
United States government may release their
claim.
It Is not long since, that the government
.of the United States did relinquish a debt
against this college of 35,000 dollars, and
