It shows What the work in Colleton county accomplished, during the past year, and It must be remembered-..that been leased for offices, and they will be fitted up for use of this agency. A tnodel Delco lighting plant will be installed and demonstrations will be given as to the kind of lighting which will be done by this system of lights. The Delco lighting plant generates its own electricity, and thus can fur. nish the country home the same kin 11 of lights as can be used in a city home. • It is a great boom to life-in the country, j L. Applv M Walterboro," S Cliff Crosby Bade From Sunny France Cliff Crosby, son of* Stephen Crosby of Ruffin, returned 'a few days ago‘from France where he was in service as a member .of the Rain, bow Division Mr. Crosby was wounded once and gassed twice, but he has fully recovered from the ef* fects of his wound, a bullet in his leg. The results -of the gas still bother him considerably at times. ' Mr. Crosby was a member of the engineers corps, but was transfer, red to the infantry in July, 1918. Soon after this he was. in the battles of Champagne and Chateau Thierry. He went “over the top” on $wo oc. casions, but when he was gassed the last time and wounded, he did not again enter. Mr. Crosby was in town Friday of last week greeting his friends and telling them of his ext>eriences.
