• The seasonal dediae in the volume
of animals roming to msrhet is now
In progress and its volume will un
doubtedly further decrease during the

proha hie amount of such decrease Is
pet obscure, says the Pood Adminiv-

A statement given oat here today,

Herbert Hoover, says: .
‘The necessities for shipment
abroad to oar army and allies are very
large and amount to roughly 76.ft(M>,-
MO pounds of meat and meat prod
ucts of all kinds per week against a
pre-war normal of less than 15.000.000
pounds. Even with they large ship
ments the allies have found it neces-
aary to reduce consumption of all
hlad^ of meats and put it tt> an average
of about one and one-quarter pounds
per week per person in ord#rnhat ntf

“Our consumption of meats is shout
three and'op* quarter pounds .per
week per person, and if we are to
make itoth ends balance dunng the
. abort marketing season, we mu-? have
further economy. ' \
V 7 “If the public will continue rlgor-
