set by the government as our allotment, and the reah-
zation of 20 per cent , of that amoi|nt in cash during
* June, eveiyone will have tto assist in the cause.
All oves the nation many merchants are buying
War Savings Stamps with the total cash sales of their
stores on certain days. The merchants and other busi
ness men of Colleton gre as loyal and patriotic as can be
found anywhere in the nation. June 28th' is designated
by President Wilson as National Thrift Day/and Mill be
observed as a holiday in many places. On account of
the half holidays which have been held in the county, no
holiday will be observed in ( olleton on that day.
It has been suggested to the Co’iRfty Council of Do-
