The people of the county are anxious to hear Admiral Beattie on the occas ion of n.is first visit to this county, and thov will doubtless furnish him an 'appreciative and representative audience. Mr. Waring has many friends in this county who will bo glad to hear him speak. Interest in the Third Liberty loan campaign is being aroused in a series of meetings over the county. Last Friday night the first of these was held at Smoaks, arranged by W. H. Yarn, chairman of the com mittee at that point. Friday night of this week another big rally-will he held at Cottageville. Rev. E. Clin Watson, who is stationed at Camp Jackson, will be the principal speaker on this occasion. The County Council of Defense is pre paring to render what assistance they can .to the committees in the sale of these bonds, and it is thought there will not be any doubt that Colleton county will quickly sub scribe her quota.
