Ruffin, Jan. 7.—Again we wish ;
to give notice of some of the hap
penings in and ^ around our town.
Since writing you last', there have
been several moves in and around
here. B. B. Croeby has moved into
the house formerly occupied by 11.
J. Sanders and Mr. Sanders has
moved into one that wjui formerly
occupied by J. W. Miley. J. M.'
Crosby has moved Into the O’Bryan
house, and is again a citizen of our j
town. He was formerly postmaster
at this place for more tha*itwentr
years, but for the past two years
has been away. Mr. Hiott, the sec-,
tlon foreman on this division of'ttm
Coast Line, has moved his family
in and they ‘are occupying the,
buildings of the railroad company.
Every house in or near town is oc
cupied, and if there, were more
buildings erected we would have
them filled soon.
This town is noted for Its good .
water, and when one gets used to FIGURES BEFORE BLYING.

a good boy, arid was a favorite in

and was a model young man in his
conduct and behavior. None ever
accused Flo'^J Of juisebief, but all
who knrxY blm'loved him. He was
a dutiful, and obedient son, one al-
ways kind and cnnside>nte to nnt-
enfs and companions, and it is a
great comfort and consolation to
know that he is saved. Before ho
died he called all the family around
him and told them good-bye. and
told them that it was all right, that
he was going home and for them
not to grieve over him. He was
buried at the family plat at Old
