Barbers Raise.
Their Prices.
The barbers of Walterboro have
entered into an agreement to raise
the prices of their work, and have
published a new schedule of orices.
raising .hair cuts to 35 cents instead
of 25 eents; shampoo and every oth
er charge formerly 25 cents to 35
cents. The price-of shaves remains
the same, IS cents. This action is
made necessary, ‘they claim, because
Of the increased cost of dotng bush;
• ness and the high cost of living.

Norman Breland, the little three
years old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robt.
Breland, of the Pine Grove section,
died at the home of his parents Fri
day night. The little fellow was
sick only a short while, having been
taken ill early Friday morning pf
croup. The funeral was held 8a*-

1 o’clock by Rev. J. M. Craven, at
the home of the bride’s parents. Mr.
and Mrs. W. R, Reynolds. The
bride is well known in this section
where she Is universally liked. The
groom is a young man of promise,
being engineer for the Walterboio
Lumber logging train. Mr. and
Mrs. Pierce wlM leave the latter
part of the week for North Carolina
where they will visit Mr. Pierce’s

Princeton. W. ’Va., have moved to
Thayer’s, where they will reside for
the present. Mr. Jones having re-
cepted a position with the Walter
boro Lumber Company. They arc
