• It has been a problem to decide
on a date which a meeting might
be called to organise a Home Deni
onstfation club In iWalterboro. ,as
the town la organised Into about as
many cltibs now aa it can w#H han
dle. but I think we can easily enough
manage one mrye, arid I hope that
a large crowd krill be at the school
house on Thursday afternoon at 4
o’clock to help get the Home Dem
onstration work started In. Walter
boro. Clubs of this kind h»*« be“n
doing very Intereatin* and profitable
work during this year all over the
country, and I think we would be
equally interested In doing the *ame
here.
Thursday need not be set aa a
regular meeting day. We can d-;
cide on a day that w*ll best suit ev
ery one. and then meet regularly on
that day of each month. Bulletins
along the Hoe of work, containing
special recipes and Instructions are
gotten out for each monthly meet
ing. a new topic of study being In
troduced each time. These *club or
ganizations are a call, to Hom«
Economy, to food conservation, etc.,
and are as truly a patriotic call aw
tfie Red Cross and others. e !
The date for organization is set
now. because the demonstration
agents will be out of" the. county
during January and they want.to
begin organized work upon their re
turn in February.*
