Cashier Clyde • Bishop, who has
been with the First National Bank
has tendered his resignation to be
come effective December 1st, and
will leave for Columbia where he
expects to secure a position *n one
of the banks of that city. Mr. Bish-
opilas been with the First National
Bank for several years during Whici
time -he has worked 'himself np
from messenger to cashier, and has'
shown himself ppssessed of splendid
ability.
B. H. Padgett, who has been as
sistant cashier of the bank has also
decided to leave, and has been
wanting to get off for several weekr,
but on account pf the inability of
the bank to get a man to take his
place, he has remained, but he ahn
expects to sever his connections
with the bank on the first of De
cember. Mr. Padgett will visit rel
atives in Darlington for a few weeks,
and expects also to locate In Co
lumbia. v
W. R. Loadholt, - * of Fairfax, a
young man of several years exper
ience in _the hanking business, will
succeed ML Bishop ar- cashier. He
arrived In town last night and Is i.i
the bank., familiarizing himself with

as assistant cashier, and was with
the Bank of Fairfax before the for
mation of the First National Bank.
