WHERE THE DOLLAR DOES ITS DUTY .. Mr*. W. E. Jones died at her late residence on Hampto D street Friday afternoon, rollowinf- an illness of several moriths. The funeral was held at her late residence Saturday fternoon at 4 o’clock, bein* con- ducted-by her pastor. Rev. C. B. Smith, of’life Methodist ehurch. \ arge number of her neighbors, rela tives and friends assembled *o do her this last honor, and to follow In the slow procession^ to Live Oak cemetery, where the rnterment took jlaee. * X^ ’ Mrs. Jones was Miss Maggi^Wil iams, of Allendale, and she cantf^to Walte^boro more than fifteen yea ago as a yApng lady.. She was mar ried to W. E. Jones, and of this un ion four sweet‘little girls were born as follows: Andrew, Carolina, Catharine and Enid.. These, with her husbanl. her mother. Mrs.* Lila Williams, of Allendale, and two sis ters, Mrs. Dunbar, of Allendale, and Mrs. Fr«pp. of Rluffton, survive. The deceased was a lovable wo man. possessing sweetness and cha’-m of manner, which won for her riends of everyone who knew her. She was a consistent member of the Methodist church and faithfully ob served Its teachings. AXa mother she was devoted and -kind, setting ar exam;>l« for, her daughters which they might well f mulate. As a wif** she' was dutiful and'thoughtful, and unselfishly her life was given for those about her.
