Postmaster J. M. Witsell, who
has been in office for the past few
weeks, has tendered his resignation
to become effectiye at the earliest
possible moment. This resignation
was caused primarily by the state |
of Mr. Wltsell's health, he having
been advised by his physician that
he could not stand the work, and
•that it was only a questlori of a
short while before he would' have
to give it up and go to a sanitarium.
Then’Mr. .Witseil’s business inter
ests are large and he .found that
they were needing him, and he'felt
that he preferred to give up the
office now and return s to active
business life, as managed of‘the-
