The Ladies! Home Economics
club of Hendersonville will give an
Ice cream supper on Friday even
ing. July' 6. beginning at 5 o’clock
and running into the evening. The
purpose of this is to install a kero
sene stove and a simple equipment
in the school for use at ladies’ club
meetings and to make it possible to
organize bread clubs for the girls
of the school this coming session.
The purpose is a good one, and we
.invite the public to come to help
the causa and have a good time.
A very interesting meeting of the
club was held Tuesday afternoon.
Severaf n^w members were added
making an enrollment of seven
teen. Much" interest and enthusi
asm is being shown in this com
munity. Mrs. Givens, who is just
back from Winthrop Short Course,
ha dniany interesting things to tell
the club. . .
