IMPROVEMENT
WONDERFUL
roaM >*>< Keep Even Cold Wotev on
• .1
Her Stomach at <<ne Time.
Strong and Hearty Non.
Though she declared- her condi-
iTon at one time was so had that she
could not keep even cold water on
her stomach, Mrs. J. G. Johnson, oi
587 North Church St., Spartanburg, j
declared Tanlac made such a rapid j
improvement in her condition that (
it got her out of bed and enabled |
her to do lighrilousew'ork in three I
days. Mrs. Johnson’s remafkable :
statement and endorsement of Tan- j
lac follows:
-"I had catarrhal fever and what
I think was a slight case of the
grippe. I was very much sick at
my stomach and I vomited ^so much
I could not keep even cold water on
my stomach, much less my food. I
had dirzy, fainty spell* a lot. too.
I had become so weak and sick that
I had to stay in bed. I stayed in
bed three weeks and could not even
sit up, and I was under treatment
all the time, but I did not seem to
be getting any relief, except that
nausea was helped. I did not gain
any strength at all. though, and I
finally lost heart in that way of try
ing to regain niy health, and I
threw away all medicines and began
taking Tanlac.
“A friend whose husband had
been helped ever so much by it kept
after me until 1 began taking this
medicine, and she certainly did me
a great kindness by doing so. too.
"My relief by using Tanlac was
as follows: I was able to be up and
going to the table and eating a reg
ular meal and doing light house
work in three days, and in a .week
1 discharged the cook and began do
ing my housework by myself. I was
able to go to church five days after
I started taking Tanlac. The Tan
lac gave me back my appetite right
at the start, and soon drove away
that nausea that 1 then had at times,
and I could just feel myself getting
stronger right along.
"I never have known any medi
cine that would make a sick person
get well so quickly, especially one
who was as sick as 1 was. I Just
took two bottles and I am feeling
fine now and am still getting strong
er and heartier, even If it/has been
a month since I took the last dose of
Tanlac. 1 am a great deal stronger
now than I was before 1 got sick,
and I am in far better health than
1 have been in a. year or so. The
Tanlac sure did make me well quick
ly. It was just wonderful.
"Tanlac is due all the praise for
getting me well, too. and 1 certain
ly do praise Tanlac."

Thin, brittle, colorless and scrag
gy hair is mute evidence of a neg
lected scalp; of dandruff—that aw
ful scurf.
There is nothing so destructive to
the hair as dandruff. It robs the
hair of its lustre, its strength and
its very life; eventually producing
a feverishness and itching of the
scalp, which if not remedied causes
the hair roots to shrink, loosen and
die—then the hair fails out fast.
A little Danderine tonight—now—
any time—will surely save your
hair.
Get a 25-cent bottle of Knowlton’s
Danderine from any drug store or
toilet counter, and after the first
application your hair will take on
that life, lustre and luxuriance
which is so beautiful. It will be
come wavy and fluffy and have the*
appearance of abundance, an incom
parable gloss and softness; but what
will please you most will be after
just a few week's use. when you will
actually see a lot of fine, downy
hair—new hair-*-grow ing all over
the scalp.
TUP-DRESS FUR THE MEADOW
Application of Manure After First
rutting Will Increase Second
■ - w 2A jo 50 Per Cent. -
Manure applied to the meadow af
ter the first cutting will increase the
second cutting from 25 to 50 per
cent, especially with clover or al
falfa. if the land needs manure. Ev
ery load of manure that can be
scraped up around the barns and in
the yards should be hauled on the
meadow when the hay is cut. It
will increase the second crop and it
will increase the next year's corn
crop if the meadow is plowed up
for corn.
Manure applied as a topdressing
o n clover aids the clover in. drawing
nitrogen from the air and has -i
double value In this way. Manur»
on clovor brings greater value when
the land needs manure than it will
with any other crop.
