IV17 The Auditor’s office will be’op''n for taking tax returns from Jany. 1st to Fcbjr. 20th, 1917. Please take notice that I or my deputy will he at the following named places for the purpose of giving each tax payer ample oppor tunity to make his or her return <n person so that each piece of property will appear in its respec tive township or school > district, thus avoiding double entries. Failing to make your returns the Township Boards of Assessors are required by law to add SO per cent penalty on all personal property. _ The law requires' that all per-" sonal property, including notes, mortgages, money, etc., shall .be listed for taxes. Land stands the same except when changes have been made since last return. All incomes over $2,500 shall be returned. All males between the age of 21 and 60 years are liable to pay poll tax and all males between the age 'f 21 and 50 years are liable to pay commutation tax. ’ All property must be listed upon the proper blanks and sworn to. The main features of enjoyment were horse back riding, hunting and plenty of parties. Among those who enter tained during the holidays were Misses Claudia Beach. Monday even ing.
