BUYS MIMS’ STORE The Southern Carolina Fair boosters' trip last Thursday and Friday was a success, although, the number of automobiles was not so large as it was thought it would be. Wednesday was a very inclement day so far as the weather was-con cerned and the predictions ‘ bj the weather department were not at all encouraging* So Wednesday night it was practically decided to aban don the trip, and it was not till Thursday tnoi < nin K when the sun be gan to shine -that it was .thought s“afe to undertake it. A hurried eall was sent to all automohilists in reach and as a result six cars re sponded* and a start was made at ’ct'j Thursday morning, or more than an hour behind schedule time. This was regretted as it necessitat ed cutting 'out two points o» the itinerary for the first day—-Ruffin and Stuoaks—and go direct to Lodge. 4 The trip was a highly successful ohe and as an advertisepiojnt for the fair could hardly have been better.
