boosters' trip last Thursday and
Friday was a success, although, the
number of automobiles was not so
large as it was thought it would be.
Wednesday was a very inclement
day so far as the weather was-con
cerned and the predictions ‘ bj the
weather department were not at all
encouraging* So Wednesday night
it was practically decided to aban
don the trip, and it was not till
Thursday tnoi < nin K when the sun be
gan to shine -that it was .thought
s“afe to undertake it. A hurried eall
was sent to all automohilists in
reach and as a result six cars re
sponded* and a start was made at
’ct'j Thursday morning, or more
than an hour behind schedule time.
This was regretted as it necessitat
ed cutting 'out two points o» the
itinerary for the first day—-Ruffin
and Stuoaks—and go direct to
Lodge. 4
The trip was a highly successful
ohe and as an advertisepiojnt for the
fair could hardly have been better.
