DEATHS

Mr*. Hue Carter.
Ixj«ige. Oct. 12.—On last Thursday
evening, when the sun was sending
its last radiant beams through the
tree tops, the community was very
nvieh saddened -*vhen the death
angel.came and claimed for.it's vic
tim our beloved friend, Mrs. Sue
Carter., «
Mrs. Carter was sick only a few
days, and her death came as a shock
to her many friends. The funeral
services were hetf at Carter’s Ford
church Saturday morning at 11
o’clock. Rev. Hodges conducted the
funeral services in the presence of
a large crowd of friends and rela
tives. The body was laid to rest in
the adjoining eetnetory. ... - '•
Mrsf Carter l^Aves six children,
two brother and one sister, beside*
a number bf relatives and friends to
mourn her departure. She was in
th<‘ sixty-third year of her age. and
was a faithful member of the Little
Swamp church and was all
dointr good for others, not thinking
of self. She was by nature a most
affectionate woman. She loved all
and seemed to be loved by all. and
was a good neighbor. e\er ready to
do what she could to help those who
lived about her. dler hospitality
was freely extended to all. and many
.• wandere- found rest and welcome
at her fireside. Her life-work is well
done. She will he sadly missed, hut
we will not mourn as. those that
have no hope, for doubtless she h i*
gone to a glorioys reward, and wo
all hope to join her on that shore,
where partings are no more. The
-yrnnathv of all goes out to the {»<»-
reined family. , ' '
