Adams -Run, Feh. 28.—Quite n
number of young people were Invit
ed to th«* hospitable home of Rev.
and Mrs. Finch on Monday evening,
the 21st inst.. the occasion being
the event of their daughter's birth
day. The guests were met at the
^loor by Mr. and Mrh. Flnch^cnd ush
ered into the parlor, where they
were received by Miss Kathleen in
her usual charming manner. The
hall, parlor and dining room were
artistfeaMv"decorated with. Southern
smilax and flowers; the color schem'e
being red and gr*'en in the' parlor
and pink and white in the dining
•pom, and the subdued mellow light
of the candles by which the rooms
were lighted, the prefty voting girls
in their partv dresses of soft tints
looked quite Irresistable.
The porches were made gay and
festive with Japanese lant’erns. ^ A
delicious salad and sweet course was
served. . The center decoral ion of
the table .being a handsome white
cake on which burned sixteen pink
candles. The popular young hostess
was the recipient‘of many gifts, ac
companied by all sorts of-good wish
