During the holidays the l^>dge school building has been greatly im proved. /A new coat of paint on the Inside and outside has greatly im proved Its appearance, and every thing has been placed in apple pie tirdor. A neat iron fence ia one of the things the School Improvement * society has *rb mind, and this will be erected In a short while. The outlook for a most suceessufl term was never brighter, and both teach ers and pupils are determined to do their best to make It the most suc cessful in the history of the school. * * « * \ BOOSTER TRIP SCHEDULE ARRANGED > _i « b* i The mapagement of the Colleton County Fair association have i arranged a two daya booster trip whl« h will take them into three . i counties and will advertise the fair as thoroughly as it Is possible i to be advertised. A numlber of automobiles have already been t secured to take this trip, but every machine which can he secured i Is urged to accompany. The schedule as mapped out provides for i leaving Walterboro at 8:00 A. M., Thursday morning, Otcober 1'4 f and returning Friday afternoon at S o’clock. Dinner the first da> v ► will be eaten at Grover, the party having provided tiiemaeiyes with t luncheon to take along with them. This will be spread under-the y shade trees at Grover and a Jolly hour spent eating, and swapping y experfenees up to that point. The next stop will be St. George l- and other points between there and BranchvHle. going to Bamberg y *1o spend the night Thursday. Friday morning the return trip y will be taken up.an<I dinner wUl be taken at Smoaks, with Walter- y boro as the objective'In-the afteruooa. - Advertising matter /or tljc fair will be distributed all along the way, and at several points there will be meetings with the officials ‘of thb places visited. A cordial Invltfltlon Is extended to all the people along the route t oconje out and meet with the booster* and get acquainted with them, and hear about the fair. Every automoblllst who can do so is urged to accompany on * this trip and take., with him a car of boorters. Only live wires are ■needed, and l»o hammer will be allowed in any car.
