said It was unnecessary as he did not
suppose any one believed it.
Recently, however, some of Mr.
Wtchman’s friends have suggested
that some people with whom he is
not well known, might believe the re
port, however silly it is. I there
fore take pleasure in stating that I

nounce the report alluded to as false
