On Friday, August 7. Mrs. Clara
Walsh, one of the community's most
highly respected ladies, died at her
home near Walterboro. . Mrs. Walsh
was the wife of the late U. H. Walsh
and was in the forty-fifth year of
her age. She was a member of the
Methodist church and known as a
woman of strong., Christian el)ura<-
tor. Her death came after an’ ill-
ne.-s? of about two -mouth 0 , and bile'

Saturday upon hearing that .Mrs. F.
S. Fennel, of near Walterboro, was
dead. Mrs. Fennel hat! attendt..
the funeral of her mother, the lat-.
Mrs. Clara Walsh, at Doctors Creek
cemetery. Shortly after her rctura
to- her home she was stricken, vio-
£ptly ill and died in an hour. It
s supposed that she died as a -‘esagR
of an attack of acute indigestion. ,
Mrs. Fennell was 27 years of age
and a woman of many accomplish
ments., She was* loved and honored
by all who knew her. and the com
munity sustains a distinct loss in her
death. She leaves a sorrowing hu«
