Charleston Man Dies.
Mr. James Herreo. of Charleston,
died at his home there on Saturday,
April 25. He leaves five children
to mourn hia departure. Hla wife
died two years Ago.

If. H. Howell, one of the prettiest
wedding ceremonies and one of the
moat delightful receptions ever wtt-
neeaed In Walterboro was that when
Iflae Katherine Howell became the
bride of Mf. F. M. Crum, of Orange
burg:—The wedding was* witnessed
by only the relatives and a few close
friends of the contracting parties,
but the reception, elaborate In every
feature, was attended by the entire
social set of Walterboro.
Promptly at 8:30 p. in., the bridal
party entered the parlor where the
ceremony was pronounced by Rev.
R. 8. Trueadale of Charleston, assis
ted by the Rev. B. M. Moreman of
Orangeburg, the uncle of the bride.
The beautiful scenic background ar
ranged for the event, coupled with
the expensive and handsome dresses
of the ladies of the party, produced
an effect of wonderful beauty.
Immediately following the wed
ding a reception was held, and this
will easily rank among the social
features of the season In Walterboro.
The gueata were met at the door by
Mr. and Mrs. E. T. H. Shaffer and
Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones, while in
the parlor the following composed
the receiving line: The bride and
groom, Mrs. M. H. Howell, Mrs. W.
M. Crum and the Misses Crum, of
Orangeburg. Mrs. E. Morrison’ of
Marysville, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. M.
P. Howell, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Flsh-
b'lrne. In the gift room, where the
unusually expensive and handsome
presents were displayed, Mr and Mrs

Major M. 'V- Howell, is well known
throughout this section. She is ;u
complished and beautiful and has
friends by the hundreds. The groom
is a rising young business man of
Orangeburg.

were: Mrs. W. .M. Crum and the
Misses Crum, of Orangeburg: Miss
Florence Bush of Ellenton, Rev. B.
M. Foreman of Orangeburg, the
three brothers of Mr. Crum, and
many friends of both parties.
