Coaceraiag the New Pastor.
Rev. Dr. J. W. Wolling. who now
comes as pastor of the Methodist
Church in Walterboro. was born and
brought up in Charleston and in
his spirit and sympathies is a low-
country man. He is a graduate, of
Wofford Colleg*. in which he took
acme of the honors of his clats.
After some years of aork in the
South Carolina Conference, he \*as
gent by the Church to South America,
spending t»ent> years in Brazil in
the missionary work. About six
years ago he returned to the home
land because of sickness in his fami
ly and again took up th** work her.
He has just closed a successful
pastorate of four \ears in All mda'. *
and was by the last Conference as
signed to this church.
Dr. Wolling /began the regular
work in Walterboro on last Suuda>,
preaching to fair congregations, both
morning and n/ght He wiH till
his pulpit at the regular hours next
Sunday and all the members and the
public general! are invited to at

sociation. i As stated elsewhere, it is desired that 60 patriotic -nen. men who love their county, and wish for her
development, be found who are willing to take three share' «>* .'tock in the Fair Association to prevent the
necessity of mortgaging the plant of the association. Il something is not done at once, it will be necessary to
give a mortgage over the plant to pay off the $1800.00 indebtedness which has been accruing tor several years.
With such a prosperous count, and with such p r og r essive fr.er. and women in it. this task will be an easy one. and
within two weeks we hope to be able to announce that the desired amount of stock has been secured. Committees
have been appointed to take this work in hand, but in case they do not see you. or if they do not see you at
