ONE BARE FACT
i,
IS WORTH A DOZEN
DRESSED-UP-FIGURES
^ OF SPEECH.
In our advertisinf we never 4< draw the long bow.**
“Word-painting” can’t make clothes any better. We
state the simple facts and state the facts simply. Telling
the truth and giving the values is the “fast express” to
public favor.
For example, we specialize in “HIGH-ART” Suits, be
cause we know they’re most for your money IC they
weren't, out they’d go and in would come better gar
ments.
• * • ■ • ’‘I
You don’t know much about the structure of fabrics
and the tailoring of clothes You must buy on faith. Here
your faith will never be misplaced.

Political Tribute to Whaley.
W’e have been requested to pub
lish the following poetry which was
written during the recent election,
but as yet not published:
Hurrah, for Whaley; the man of
our choice.
Whose election to Congress our ser.-
' timents voice.
Although for this victory We earnestly
fought.
W'e’re proud that his votes were giv
en ^jot bought.
The majority he won. his popularity
attests. ‘t
And out; ttonfldence in him to serve
our Interests best:
’Tho his opponents to down him
tried in every way.
They failed in their arguments thp
majority to away.
It he did on the coat-tails of our
great President swing,
Is it not a* honor to attach to the
coat (coart) \of our king?
But we know on hi* merit alone he
has won,
And not by any swinging on cont ;
taftk he ha* done.
Far ha It from us Mn Hughe* to

For w* know that h*’* a* good a* he
is wise.
It is only * pity that such a good
Should suffer prejudice on account of
his supporters, the Grace Clan
Then three cheers for Whaley, who

W’here we know he will work for the
interests 6f ail

Hall.
