The Little Rock School closed Fri day, April 25, after a very successful term taught by Miss Wilhemina Bennett. Misa Bennett has returned to her home at Ashton. Miss Minnie Crosby spent Thurs day very pleasantly with Miss Isabel la Crosby. Miss Viola Breland, of Lodge, is spending sometime with Miss Etta Hudson of this place. Mr and Mrs Lee Given visited the latter’s parents. Mr and Mrs S. I). Crosby, Sunday. The Sunday school at this place is still flourishing under the manage ment of our faithful Superintendent S. B. Crosby. A Home Department and Cradle Roll has been recently or ganized here. We are expecting much more interest shown in this Sunday school through these two organizations. Robertson, a Confederate Soldier and a resident ol Colleton County died at his home near Wal terboro Sunday night, after an ill ness of several weeks. Mr Robert son was about 70 years old, and was a good citizen and had many friends throughout the county. He leavee a wife who waa Miss Rebecca Rootle before her marriage. The death of this child I* doubly s»d on account of their little daugh ter’s death. March . 28. Little Henry and hif father were the only one* of the family who w ere able to 'attend its burial, which under the cir cumstances had to in Florida. The sympathy of their friends here and In Florida is very heart felt. Little Henry leaves to motirn his death, his parents and two lit tle sisters and one little brother.
