The State Supreme Court has just
handed down a decision In the casj
of W. N. I .a rise y vs. Mrs M. L. Lari-
sey. reversing MasterHenderson and
Circuit Court. This was a suit
brought by W. N. Larisey, Jr., for the
possession of eight acres-of land with
buildings thereon, located at Mas-
hawvilie and valued at. perhaps.
$2,000. It appears that W. N. Lari
sey, Sr., deeded this land to his son.
and marrying subsequently executed
another deed to his wife. ' Upon the
death of Mr Larisey, Sr., the son
brought suit for the possession of the
land. Master Henderson and Judge
Gary both decided against him and
in favor of Mrs Larisey. The derision
of the Supreme Court revevraea their
decisions.

Columbia. Feb. 7-.;—Special: The
report of the special committee to in-,

governor in 1911 against the Ansel
windi:ig-up commission. J. Fraser
Lyon, former attngue.. ‘general, and
other* was received in the senate yes
terday morning, read in the house
last night and ordered printed in the
journals.
They do not sustain a single
charge made by the governor in his
special message sent to the general*
assembly in 1911.
The majority report is signed by
Senators Carlisle. Sullivan and Clli-
■tqp and Representatives J. J. Evans
and W. L. Daniel, while a nrnor.ty
report signed by Representative
Cary agrees in the findings o?- the
majority with the exception of the
testimony taken in Augusta and af
terward in Columbia which Mr Cary
does not think is relevant. .
The report, w ith the exception that
B. F. Arthur when a member of the
Ansel commission overcharged the
State, says, of the charges made by
Gov. Hlease, that they are "wholly
unsupported by the testimony and
th*T«-fore without roundation in

the members of the Ansel commis

J. S. Brice. Avery Patton. John Mc-

of all c harges made aginst them.
"Your committee aiso had a meet

that testimony and other testimony
along the same line taken m Colum
bia we are convinred that a regular
system of graft exists and has exist
ed for years in that city in connec
tion with the work of the dispensary
constables,” says the majority com
mittee’s report.
The committee thinks That Thos
B. Felder of Atlanta misled them in
his statement about what his testi

tee went tolAugusta. Ga.. last sum
mer to take his testimony. They,
however, went to Augusta as they
thought something would be gotten
from Felder and as he would not
come to the Stgte because he feared
arrest and possible assassination.
But his testimony established noth
ing in the report of the committee.
The majority of flie report is a re
petition of the charges made by the
governor an.I the refuting of them
section by section from the testimony
adduced, all of which is made a part
of the report. The State
