Lexington, N.-C., Nov. 7.—A love ly wedding took place la the Baptiet charch last evening at I o'clock When Min Arline Trice and Mr. Edgar Jones were married. The interior of the church la fin ished in white and green and the only decorations used were ferns, which were massed around the altar and sprays Qf green over the lights Mrs. H. 8. Womblo of Con cord sang magnificently "All For You.” . As the ushers began to pre pare for the entrance of the party a quartette, consisting of Miss Ger trude Hamner, Mrs. W. O. Burgin, Mr. G. F. Hankins and Mr. Wade H. Phillips sang "Ob Perfect Love.” As they sang the ushers, Messrs. H. L. Propst. Wood Dorsett, B. H. Finch W. H. Mendenhall, H. O. Sink and Propst Trice, took the:r places, flank ing the altar. It was a rainbow wed ding and the colors were carried out in the gowns of the bridemaids, who were Misses Lucie Stokes, of Dur ham, N. C., in American beauty chif. fon over white satin, carrying white chrysanthemums, Louise Hill, In lav ender crepe de chine, with white chrysanthemums. Mary Trice, yellow chiffon over messallne, carrying yel low chrysanthemums. Pearl Hege, in blue chiffon over charmeuse, with ^yellow chrysanthemums, Scarles Ow en, in spangled net over green mes- saline, with pink chrysanthemums, and Catherine Propst in pink chiffon over pink charmeuse, carrying pink chrysanthemums. The.^ little flow er girls were Misses Mary Hiller ami Dorothy Mendenhall, who carried baskets of pink sweel peas. The ring ceremony was used, little Alice Virginia Trice, sister of the bride; being ring bearer. The maid of honor. Miss Nellie Trice, suiter of the bride, wore a spangled ^fobe over white messaline and carrl& a shower bouquet of brides roses and lillies-of-the-valley. Her only Jewelry was a La Vallier of baroque pearls, the gift of the groom. To the wedding march from Lo hengrin, the bride entered on the arm of her father, Capt. C. W. Trice. She wore charmeuse, trimmed with pearls and real lace; her veil was caught up with lillies-of-the-valley ■and she carried a shower bouquet of the same flowers. Thomp son, J. C. Leonard and C. M. Clod- feltcr served, while the gift room was in charge of Misses Nona Thomp son. Lena Shults and Lettie Shoaf. The bride is the daughter of Capt. C. W. Trice, one of Lexington's moat honored and best known eftixona. The bevt measure of the charm of her personality is htr tremendous popularity in the town where she has lived nearly all her life.
