Gaston, of Chanter, the commander of tha South Caroli na division of the United Sons of Confederate Veterans, received the monument from tho commission on behalf of tha Sons and Daagkten of the Confederacy, making a happy and enthusiastic speech of accept ance. | Mrs. C. E. Graham, of Green ville. the president ef the Sooth Car olim United Daughters of Confeder acy, expressed the appreciation of the beautiful memorial and especial- ly mentioned Capt. W. R.
