Colleton .county certainly needs Hhe services of such mi offi cer and it will give me very great pleasure to co-operate with you in securing her. If you can get the MOO, I can reserve $260 from the Peabody fund for your county." There seems to be every reason' why the delegation should just now poos on act, and fill one of the greateet needs Colleton county now has educationally. With a compe tent Rural Supervisor in- this cotfu- ty, giving her entire time to the matter of supervising the rural schools, we cannot see what Is to prevent a great Impetus being giv en to the matter ot building up the schools of the county. Miss Malone ha# about exhausted every argu ment la fs-v'or of the extension of the Rural School Improvement asso ciation, and we do not know of a single school to heed her advice. This.very Important work cannot he advanced without the aid of a com petent worker In the field all the time. The legislative appropriation above would solve the problem.
