Mr. Benton war 76 years ol age. aftd was one of the best ,known and roost loved of the citi> sens of Cdleton county. He was a /armer, and had done a'ell. Mr. Beaton had celebrated hit76th . birthday ^pat Saturday, and in honor of the occasion all his childien were at home, and they had a big dinner. It was ndLfearid that Mr. Benton would te il. for any k-ngth of time, but he grew worse a few da> s ago, and the. end came early Tut ay morning.
