Ah a institution tHeu* is nothing
more potent in building up a county
than a county fair. It is a p!ac<‘
where jK'oploujf one portion will he
able to learn what those of another
are doing. It will begot competi
tion, ami progressive ideas will re
sult. The community which is more
backward will^pur up after seeing
what other sections are doing. But
perhaps the most important thing
will be the meeting of the people of
every sec t ion. Art exchange of ideas
will result, and each will be mote
tolerant of the other—the county
will thus be bound more firmly to
gether.
i »
The Fair Association should there
fore, receive the earnest support of
Ml [jrogreesive dtiaena. Men every
where should see to It that every
community ia represented in exhib
its. 1)ve —mrietion has come to
stay. With the bast arranged and
moat extensive grounds of any
itpin theqtfte owned by the
i, it is now in poMtioo to
give pnminmi and provide attrac-
tiooa whieh of thcmaolvea will draw
the anppbrt of the people in the
way<of exhibits.
