BARNWELL COUNTY’S CANDIDATE.
Barnwell County will have a can
didate in the field for a State bffiee
thii oammer, Cql. William W Moore
having announced hio intention of
running for Ajutant General. The
announcement will be gladly receiv
ed by Col Moore’s friends in Barn
well County and throught the State,
and, judging from the encourage-
ing reports that have come to him
voluntarily from his friends in other
counties, he is the man the other
candidates will have to beat if they
want the office.
Col. Moore will undoubtedly make
a splendid race, and deserves to
make one that will land him in the
office. He is an enthusiastic military
man and is an ardent worker for
the advancement of the National
Guard, He has had a long and
splendid record in the military af
fairs of the State, and if ability to
gether with experience count for
anything, he will make the other
candidates sit up and take notice.

since he laid aside the gray uniform
of the cadet and put or toe insignia
of an officer of the National Guard
of the State. He is now an honor
