Bill Nye. • * — — UNITY LODGE MEETS. A very interesting session of Unity Lodge No. 55, A. F. M. wa» held Friday evening at the Lodge room. It was the occasion of raising four candidates to the Master degree. Those raised were John D. Warren, H. M. Anderson, Lartie Martin and Albert Martin. There was perhaps the largest at tendance of members and visitors at this meeting ever out at a regular meeting of the lodge. Refreshments were served during the evening and a good time was had by all the mem bers. Among the visiting brethren were Rev. G. A. Martin, and C. J. Cone of Lodjje, Past Master W. F. Hill, Master A. V. Rickeuhaker and C. C. Hiott of Round, Jas. Vernon of Bam berg and Julius Jones of Smoaks. HORSES AND MULES LYCEDli FOR WALTERBORO. Arrangements have been made with the Alkahest Lyceum System of Atlanta for the lyceum course in Walterboro during the season 1916- V) 11. Prof. H. G. Sheridan and W. W. Smoak will have this in charge. The following are the attractions: Edwin R, Weeks Company, Alkahest Ladies Quartet, Ralph Bingham, Fisher-Ship Company, I.ad’Ue-Fo* Company, and Dekoven Maie Quar tet. This is the best talent that has ever been brought to Walterboro. The first three of these attractions have been here before and gave de lightful entertainments to delightful audiences. Arrangement have been made by which the** attrac tions will be given in the new audi torium at the High school building. The children of those pat rons of the school who subscribe to double season tickets will be admitted free. REV. BOYD LEAVES Rev. A. Preston Boyd, who. for the past several months, has been pastor of the Presbyterian churches here and at Corinth, left Monday for his new charge at Tacoma* Washington. Mr. Boyd pretachefi his farewell sermon Sunday morning to a large congregation. It is with regret that the congre gations of his charge served the pa»- tonal relations with Mr. Boyd.
