completed and it remains now to put
on the roof and to complete the in
terior wood work, the frame work
being up. This will be one of the
handsomest school buildings in the
State when completed. It will be
modern in every particular and an

be a two story building, the lower
story to be occupied by Taylor’s
store andTjthe long talked of ’‘rest
room” for Walterboro, which will
be an elaborately lifted ladies' room
at the rear of Taylor’s stoic. The
upstairs will for the present used
as a skating rink.

PAINFULLY HURT.
John Staten was very painfully in
jured Saturday in a romrvay. He
was driving Rev B. F. Halford’s
horse hitched to a. wagon, when the
animal became frightened at Mr.
Binn’s motorcycle and ran. Staten,
seeing several bTiggies in the street
containing ladies, pulled the horta’
and forced it to run into a fence on
Rail Road Avenue and waa thrown

needs no introduction to the people
of his township as he is well known.
He is a son of Joseph Langdale, and
